Nowadays, there are various of virtual reality games such as Second Life, World of Warcraft, Blue Mars, and so on been presented and promoted due to the advancement of technology. Virtual reality is known as a creation of an artificial environment by user based on their suspended belief and accept it as a real environment. In other words, user could be gain their happiness through these virtual reality games as what had been highlighted in the comic below:
Yup, people could do anything they wish to do and failed to do in real world in the virtual world created by themselves including shooting people, violence and other criminals, just like the movie, VICE (2015) which starred by Bruce Willis, Ambyr Childers, and Thomas Jane and other actors/actresses. This movie is briefly about Julian Michaels (Bruce Willis) has designed the ultimate holiday resort - VICE, where anything goes and the customers can play out their wildest fantasies with artificial inhabitants who look, think and feel like humans due to these artificial inhabitants are created using human DNA. And these artificial inhabitants are been setting as auto-restoration when they been damaged by the customers which means they are keep on doing the same thing in virtual world. But, there is an artificial (Ambyr Childers) becomes self-aware and escapes, she find herself caught in the crossfire between Julian's mercenaries and a cop (Thomas Jane) who is hell-bent on shutting down VICE, and stopping the violence once and for all. From this movie, we could comprehend that the virtual world is created by users to express the dissatisfaction of their first life, and achieve the goal that they unable to do in controlled world (our real world). Plus, we know that those users did gain happiness and satisfaction from this virtual world as what the Second Life players' comment and opinion towards this virtual reality games. Yes, I agree that it did have advantages but meanwhile its disadvantages included addiction towards this virtual life, people become more and more violence as the movie mentioned about. So, the existence of virtual reality is good or bad were and unknown because it depends how wisely the user use it.
